ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
Uniting Big and Small Cat Conservation (2022–2027)
A GEF-supported initiative led by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in partnership with UNDP, integrating small wild cat conservation into India’s broader big cat framework.
Implemented across key landscapes in Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan, the project adopts a landscape-level, community-driven approach to strengthen the resilience of globally significant wild cat habitats.
